Stefanie is a compassionate guide for families seeking support, resources, and connection. Through one-on-one support, she helps families navigate systems and access the services they need. Her approachable nature and genuine care make families feel understood and empowered. Stefanie’s goal is to ensure no one feels alone while seeking help.

Winifred supports families through parenting programs, life skills workshops, and family enrichment groups that promote connection, confidence, and growth. Her work empowers caregivers to build strong relationships and create nurturing homes where children can thrive. Winifred’s passion lies in making a meaningful difference—one conversation, one workshop, one family at a time.

Maresa leads and facilitates programs for children ages 0–12 and supports expecting and new mothers through compassionate, strength-based care. She’s passionate about building connections with families and creating a safe, welcoming space where both children and caregivers feel seen and supported. Her leadership helps shape programs that reflect the unique needs of each family, making KARA a second home for many in the community.

As Executive Director of KARA, Darby leads with a focus on fostering community engagement and strengthening the agency’s resilience. With a strategic vision and hands-on leadership, Darby ensures KARA continues to provide vital support to families, making a lasting impact on both individuals and the community. Drawing on years of experience in the nonprofit sector across four Canadian provinces, Darby is committed to creating opportunities for individuals to feel valued, empowered, and connected to their community.

Gracel supports KARA’s mission by ensuring financial accuracy and reliability through her work in payroll, accounting, and reporting. Her attention to detail keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, allowing programs and services to thrive. Gracel takes pride in knowing her role contributes to the well-being of the families and communities KARA serves, and she brings heart to everything she does.

Working closely with every aspect of the organization, Marc continues to build strong community and corporate partnerships. He is passionate about leading fundraising initiatives, and his work ensures families have continued access to the support they need, when they need it most.

As the People & Culture Manager at KARA, Nikki is dedicated to fostering a culture of wellness and sustainable high performance, ensuring that both staff and volunteers feel safe, supported, and valued. She works closely with volunteers to support KARA’s programs and events, empowering them to make a meaningful impact. Nikki also leads HR initiatives and oversees marketing and communications, helping to amplify KARA’s message and support the organization’s overall mission.
