Child & Family Engagement Worker – Early Years
October 2026 - Child and Family Engagement Worker
Do you love working with young children and supporting families? KARA Family Resource Centre is looking for a compassionate, creative Child & Family Engagement Worker to deliver engaging, play-based programs for children ages 0–6 and their caregivers.
Help families build connections, strengthen parenting confidence, and support children's early learning and development in welcoming, community-based spaces.
Position Details: Part-time | 20 hours/week | Maternity leave coverage

Program Support (Kids in the Kitchen)

Do you love cooking, enjoy working with children, and know how to make delicious meals on a budget? KARA Family Resource Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable Program Support Person to help school-aged children build cooking skills, confidence, independence, and teamwork in a fun, welcoming environment.
Position Details: Casual, part-time Approximately 6 hours per week/ Weekday afternoons / North and Northeast Edmonton

Do you love cooking and helping children build confidence, independence, and life skills? KARA Family Resource Centre is seeking a passionate Child & Family Engagement Worker to lead engaging, hands-on cooking experiences that teach school-aged children teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, and resourcefulness.
This role goes beyond cooking—it’s about helping children discover their strengths and develop skills that support their wellbeing at home, at school, and in their communities.
Position Details: Part-time | 18 hours/week | School-year position (September–June)

August 2026 - KARA Family Resource Centre is inviting community-minded professionals to join our Board of Directors.
We are currently seeking individuals with legal expertise, particularly in charity and not-for-profit law, employment law, governance, contracts, compliance, or risk management. We are also looking for professionals with financial and accounting, human resources, and fund development expertise to strengthen our Board and committees.
