Self-Care and Maintaining Balance

A key principle in parenting is being able to respond effectively and quickly to different situations that may arise. If we are tired physically, mentally, and emotionally, we most likely will not respond the way we want to. Furthermore, our ability to engage and be present for our children is compromised. Therefore, as parents, we need to be looking after ourselves in order to give our children prime opportunities for development. This workshop will look at the significance of self care, why this is important in relation to parenting, how we can achieve balance between family and work life, then develop a self-care plan that gives you that balance.
